Honest, end to end
Meet the animal behind the meal.
Why
If you eat meat, knowing where it comes from is a debt the animal is owed. We pay it carefully, with skill, with quiet, and with thanks.
This is not a stunt and it is not a spectacle. It is one of the oldest ways humans have learned to be human.
What happens
A rough shape of the day.
- 01Meet the birds, learn their care, their lives, their day.
- 02Walk the process slowly, humane dispatch, plucking, dressing.
- 03Knife skills, hygiene, butchery basics.
- 04Cook and share a meal from what was offered.
- 05Sit with what came up. Talk if you want.
Who it's for
If any of this is you.
- Meat eaters ready to close the gap between plate and bird
- Homesteaders raising their own flock
- People considering vegetarianism who want a clear-eyed look first
